Appointment of new Banking Director at Cayman National Bank Isle of Man

The Cayman National Group are pleased to announce the appointment of Jim Woodall as the new Banking Director of Cayman National Bank (Isle of Man) Limited picking up the reins from Barry Williams, who is stepping down from this role after 26 years with the Bank on the island.

Jim is an experienced local banker.  He joins the Bank from HSBC, where he acted as a Senior Manager of Corporate and Commercial Banking on the island.  Originally from Bristol, he started his career as a branch banker before moving to Jersey in 2002 and finally settling in the Isle of Man in 2004.  During this time, he has managed bank branches, business development, credit risk and operations and until recently, was the Country Head of Risk (Commercial & Corporate Banking) for HSBC in the IOM and Channel Islands.

Nigel Gautrey, Managing Director of Cayman National's Isle of Man operations commented "We are, naturally, sad to see Barry leave after a long and dedicated service to the Bank.  He has been instrumental in the growth of the Bank since his appointment in 1996 and we are grateful for his guidance and commitment to the business.   We wish him well for the future."

Mr. Gautrey continues, "At the same time, we are also delighted to welcome Jim to Cayman National.  His appointment will also have a positive impact on our ability to continue to grow and improve our banking services offering.  Jim has also been appointed as an Executive Director on the Board of the Bank, and we are confident he will contribute greatly to the strategic direction of the Bank."

Jim adds, "I am thrilled to join Cayman National Bank (Isle of Man) Limited at this important stage in their journey as they continue to transition and expand their banking proposition.  I am privileged to be following in Barry's footsteps, and looking forward to applying myself to the new challenges the role presents, with emphasis on delivering e-commerce transformation and excellence in all aspects of customer service."
