Meet the Cayman National team

Nigel Gautrey MA, Chartered MCSI, Dip IoD, FLIBF

Nigel was born and educated in the UK and moved to the Isle of Man in 1995. He previously held leadership roles at a private bank, trust company and AIM-listed public company and has over 35 years combined experience in the financial services industry.

In 2017, Nigel then joined Cayman National as Managing Director of its banking and fiduciary businesses in the Isle of Man, as well as being appointed a director of the group’s Dubai operation.

He is a Fellow of the London Institute of Banking and Finance and a former President of its Isle of Man branch. In addition he holds a Masters Degree in E-Commerce, a Diploma in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Securities and Investment Institute.

Jim joined Cayman National from HSBC, where he was a Senior Manager in the Isle of Man and Channel Islands Corporate and Commercial banking business. Originally from Bristol, Jim is an experienced local banker who spent a short period in Jersey before settling in the Isle of Man in 2004. He has managed bank branches, business development, credit risk and operations. He was also the Country Head of Risk (Commercial & Corporate Banking) for HSBC in the IOM and Channel Islands until his appointment with Cayman National in January 2020.

Jim is a keen supporter and volunteer for the Isle of Man arm of Junior Achievement, a charity educating school children on financial matters and in the operation of student companies.

Rosaline Melia TEP MIoD

Roz was born and educated in the UK and moved to the Cayman Islands in 1990. She subsequently transferred from the Group’s Cayman Islands operations to the Isle of Man in 2006 when she was appointed as Head of Fiduciary Services and in 2017 was appointed to the Board of the Trust Company. She is also Company Secretary for the Bank and Trust Isle of Man Companies.

Roz has over 30 years experience in the fiduciary sectors in both jurisdictions with extensive knowledge and experience in the running of trust and corporate structures. In addition, she is both a Director and member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (“STEP”) and the holder of the Institute of Directors’ Certificate in Company Direction.

Colin Peters ALIBF PDipB&F ACSI

Colin has over 20 years of experience in the international finance sector, having worked for investment houses and trust companies before moving into banking in 2005, working for one of the major UK clearing banks in the Isle of Man. In 2011 he was seconded to Guernsey for 3 years as a Senior Relationship Manager within the bank’s Commercial Banking department, before returning to the Isle of Man in 2014. Colin has undertaken various roles within banking including business development, commercial lending, foreign exchange and liquidity management.

Colin is also involved with the Isle of Man Bankers Association, is a member of the London Institute of Banking and Finance as well as being a committee member of its Isle of Man Branch. Colin also acts as a trustee on a couple of local charities.

Kim was born and educated in South Africa and moved to the Isle of Man in 2003 where her career in financial services began. Developing strong relationships is key to the success of her 19 years of experience which she has gained working for a major retail bank, a private bank and a large financial services group. Kim has undertaken a variety of roles including relationship management and business development of personal, corporate and fiduciary clients; focusing on their specific banking, lending and investment-related requirements.

Kim is a Chartered member of CISI and Associate member of the Institute of Directors and holds the Investment Advice Diploma and CeMap qualifications.

Anita Gould-Davies

Anita assumed responsibility for the Bank ’s portfolio of custody clients on the Isle of Man in September 2020. Her career in financial services has been varied and spans over 35 years in the UK and on the Isle of Man.

In London, Anita held senior positions managing front and back-office operations with Fund managers, Foreign & Colonial, and Invesco and for IFDS Group, a leading provider of outsourcing and technology solutions to the industry. She also has extensive experience in change management, business process re-engineering and relationship management. Anita was a member of the fund industry steering committee in the development of the first on-line closed-ended funds trading platform, ‘Cofunds’, and assisted a client position themselves as the industry’s specialist for the launch of the UK Government’s new Child Trust fund scheme.

She returned to the Isle of Man in 2004, as Head of Busines Development and Client Services for Bradford & Bingley Building Society (now Santander) before joining Cayman National in 2008.
