Senior Relationship Manager
Location: Isle of Man
Term: Permanent /Full Time (with scope for flexible working if necessary)
Cayman National Bank (Isle of Man) Limited (CNBIOM) are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Relationship Manager, to deliver sustainable business growth through effective customer-focussed and risk-based relationship management, including lending. The role will hold primary responsibility for relationship management and lending related matters, and will be the initial and ongoing point of contact for customer, broker, lawyer and valuer interactions in lending. The role will involve attending networking events, providing targeted customer hospitality and may undertake appropriate business development and site review trips in the IOM, UK and international markets.
As a key member of the bank’s management team, the Senior Relationship Manager may be required to support the Head of Banking with the development and implementation of proactive business calling plans, production of effective Management Information and collaborating effectively with the bank’s business development consultants/other departments within the Group.
The role will support the Head of Banking (and the Loan Officers) with a variety of delegated operational responsibilities. These include timely onboarding and risk assessment of lending and other new customers, liaising with credit brokers, lawyers and valuers and maintaining oversight of the lending administration, ensuring management information is updated, loans are managed appropriately, and all legal and regulatory standards are met at all times.
Essential functions and role responsibilities
Relationship Management
- Assist the Head of Banking in all aspects of CNBIOM’s relationship management, including general and lending business growth and customer recruitment / retention.
- Responsibility for managing and growing preferred relationships with brokers, valuers and lawyers in the IOM and UK.
Client Assessment
- Responsibility for producing Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter Financing of Terrorism (CFT) and Proliferation Financing (PF) and credit assessments /recommendations.
- To collaborate with the Risk and Compliance teams to ensure appropriate risk assessments are undertaken for new / existing clients.
Hospitality management
- To support the Head of Banking with implementation, delivery of and attendance at client hospitality events.
Networking events
- To promote CNBIOM’s customer proposition at external networking events.
- To undertake local and UK/International business development trips (either in a sole capacity or as part of a CNIOM delegation)
Business Planning, Marketing Content and Management Information
- Where appropriate, supporting the Head of Banking in developing and maintaining effective customer contact / business development plans, external marketing / website content and KPI management information.
Operational efficiency
- To identify and deliver operational efficiencies.
Education/Certification
• Minimum O level/GSCE (or equivalent standard) with passes in Mathematics and English Language.
• A relevant professional qualification is preferred but not essential.
Required knowledge
• An experienced relationship manager
• Strong knowledge of banking products and services
• Strong lending experience
• Strong banking technical knowledge.
• Good understanding of business banking risks and risk management practices
Minimum experience
• 5 years relevant banking/financial services experience.

Salary & Benefits
£55,000 - £60,000 per annum
