Business Implementation Manager
Cayman National Bank (Isle of Man) Limited is seeking a Business Implementation Manager, who will be responsible for ensuring that approved projects are successfully embedded into business operations while also providing direct delivery support across key change initiatives. Acting as the bridge between project delivery, technology teams, and frontline business areas, the role ensures that new processes, systems, and ways of working are adopted effectively, safely, and in line with regulatory and risk requirements.
This role requires a pragmatic approach, strong stakeholder engagement, and an ability to work across multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Essential functions and role responsibilities
Implementation & Business Readiness
· Lead the business implementation phase of assigned projects, ensuring operational readiness prior to go-live
· Define and manage implementation plans and business readiness checkpoints
· Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), operational sign-off, and go/no-go decisions
· Ensure impacted teams understand and are prepared for new processes, systems, and controls
Stakeholder & Change Management
· Act as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders during implementation
· Translate project and technical outputs into business-friendly processes and guidance
· Identify and manage implementation impacts, risks, and dependencies
- Support change activities including communications, training coordination, and adoption tracking
Operational & Risk Alignment
· Ensure changes comply with banking regulations, internal controls, and risk frameworks
· Work with Risk, Compliance, and Operations to confirm controls are implemented effectively
· Support updates to policies, procedures, and operating manuals
· Ensure that operational handover is clearly documented and accepted
Delivery & Project Support
· Provide direct support to delivery teams to maintain momentum across initiatives
· Assist with preparation of project and Steering Committee agendas, papers, minutes, and actions
· Track progress, milestones, dependencies, and actions using agreed project management tools
· Participate in logging and managing project risks, issues, and decisions
· Actively contribute to project forums, stand-ups, and working groups
· Support delivery coordination during peak periods or resource constraints
· Work closely with Project Managers, Product Owners, and IT teams to align business and delivery timelines
· Monitor implementation progress and provide regular status reporting
· Identify issues early and propose practical solutions suitable for a small banking environment
Agile Ways of Working
· Support agile delivery approaches by participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and task management
· Work closely with Product Owners, delivery teams, and business SMEs to align sprint outcomes with implementation readiness
· Track and manage implementation activities within delivery tools, ensuring business readiness tasks are visible and aligned with delivery milestones
Continuous Improvement
· Capture post-implementation lessons learned and improvement opportunities
· Contribute to improving implementation standards and change practices across the bank
· Support multiple initiatives where required, adapting priorities as business needs evolve
Education/Certification
Relevant professional certifications are advantageous, but not essential.
Required knowledge
A strong working knowledge of banking systems and procedures, a solid and practical understanding of banking risk and regulatory requirements and experience in using a variety of business software applications.
Minimum experience
Experience in business operations in financial services is essential.
Skills/Abilities
Essential
· Experience delivering or implementing business change within financial services or banking
· Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and operational impacts
· Proven stakeholder management and communication skills
· Practical experience with implementation planning and operational readiness
· Ability to work in a small, resource-constrained environment
Desirable
· Experience in retail, commercial, or digital banking
· Understanding of regulatory environments
· Familiarity with change management frameworks
· Experience with core banking, payments, lending, or onboarding systems
Terms
Full time (with scope for flexible working if necessary), 12 months fixed contract terms
